While everyone hopes they never have a life-threatening emergency involving their pet it is inevitable that sometimes urgent out-of-hours treatment is required.

**IMPORTANT**

From 6th September 2010 all emergency calls will be handled by Vets Now. Vets Now are a dedicated emergency care provider, rather like AVoC (with whom many of you will be familiar) but on a larger scale. The benefit of this change is that in an emergency your animal will always be seen by a vet whose sole duty is emergency night cover. Because they are on a night rota and have no duties during the day, they can provide constant care and supervision during the night, something that is not always possible in general practice. This ensures a higher standard of care all round. Non critical cases will remain at our practice for overnight care by the duty vet.

They provide emergency cover from
6.30pm - 8am Monday - Friday
12 noon Saturday - 8am Monday

PDSA PetAid Clients

If you receive assisstance with your veterinary fees through the PDSA PetAid scheme you will have to pay the CONSULT FEE at the time of treatment however Vets Now will waive the emergency fee. Please ensure you take your PDSA certificate with you to an emergency consultation or you may have to pay the full fee.
